Gallaher is seeking a systems designer and project manager for its Alcoa corporate office, which would require relocation to the Knoxville, TN area.  Due to the specialized nature of the position, we have listed the opportunity in your area in hopes of developing an interest in Gallaher and inspiring the best candidate to join our team here in East TN!

The key skills for this position include:

  • Proven history of unyielding core values and integrity
  • Extensive design knowledge of the low voltage technology systems industry including fire alarm, camera surveillance, structured cabling, intercom systems, audio systems, etc.
  • Ability to manage the process of taking an estimated bill of materials (BOM) and comparing it against the specifications and drawings to assemble the final BOM for purchasing.
  • Skills in the art of finding cost savings, while meeting the spirit of the construction documents
  • Professional but firm disposition to interact with fire marshals, codes enforcement, the architectural/engineering community, general and electrical contractors, and field technicians
  • Project Management skills to bring projects in on or below budget
  • Proven history demonstrating leadership skills with an energetic, trusted adviser demeanor
  • Proven history of negotiation skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Estimating Software, Outlook/Exchange, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe products, etc.
